Call for abstracts
The Organizing Committee of BME2027 invites researchers, clinicians, engineers, and industry professionals to submit abstracts for presentation at the upcoming Biomedical Engineering Conference. We welcome high‑quality contributions covering the full spectrum of biomedical engineering research and innovation.
PhD students are especially welcome to submit their research or plans and to build their network through both oral and poster sessions.
Abstracts will have to be submitted through the website www.Excelcs.nl.
Master students may apply for one of the 10 reduced-fee conference tickets, that will be allocated by a lottery. The winners will be announced at the same time as the abstract acceptance notifications.

General abstract guidelines:
- Abstracts must be written in English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication.
- Abstracts should be concise and to the point, with a maximum length of 350 words.
- Abstracts should consist solely of text and include results. Please note that diagrams, tables, and pictures are not allowed.
- Please note that the abstract text must not include any information that could reveal the identity of the authors or their institutional affiliation. This includes avoiding mentions of specific universities, hospitals, research centers, or geographic locations that could be used to identify the researchers.
- The text and the title of the abstract should be free from abbreviations, except for those that are widely recognized and commonly used in the field. This ensures clarity and avoids confusion for reviewers who may not be familiar with specific abbreviations.
- Submissions should be original contributions to the broad field of bio-medical engineering. Experimental study findings, research protocols, and literature studies are welcome for presentation. However, if the abstract does not contain (preliminary) results it should at least mention clear research questions in the aims, expected hypotheses and possible implications in the results section.
